DIRECTOR OF BUSINESS OPERATIONS - posted 5/21/13 (full time)

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provide overall leadership in implementing our team business plan and operations
• Oversee sales efforts involving season tickets, group tickets & sponsorship sales
• Responsible for managing operations staff & interns
 • Work with team owner to manage relationships with outside vendors and corporate partners• Develop promotions for home games schedule
• Develop sales and marketing support materials.
• Work closely with Housing Director and Coaching staff to support player needs• Work with community members to promote our team and volunteer efforts• Manage game day operations and game day staff•

CHARACTERISTICS / QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s Degree in Sports Administration or business field
• Minimum of three (3) years experience working in sales with collegiate and/or professional sports team and at least two (2) years of experience working in a sales management role.
• Superior communication skills, collaborative with strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Results oriented leader with proven ability to motivate people and maximize revenue production.
• Proven track record in management & sales 
• Must be enthusiastic, creative and able to think both strategically and tactically.
• Ability to work in a dynamic, high paced environment.
• Highest level of personal and professional integrity and ethics
• Strong customer service skills

Sponsorship Sales Manager - posted 5/21/13 (full or part time - 4 positions available)

- Responsible for prospecting, selling, cultivating and maintaining your corporate account sponsorships

-Duties include making cold calls & sales presentations

-working with and coordinating with sponsorship servicing intern on executing all aspects of corporate partnership fulfillment


-Responsible for working with outside agencies to get all corporate partnerships signage created and placed


-Responsible for creating and implementing new ideas and opportunities that will drive sponsorship revenue


-Responsible for tracking prospecting, sales and advertising inventory throughout the season


Qualifications:

• Demonstrates or has prior advertising/sponsorship experience/knowledge 

-Previous experience in a similar working environment a plus


-Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent work experiences


-Ability to work game nights/weekends and holidays as requested

-Proven ability to close sales

-Strong work ethic and team player

Group Sales Manager: - posted 5/21/13 (full or part time - 2 positions available)

Essential Functions:
• Oversee the group sales operation via client communication by creating, editing and distributing group sales marketing materials, including newsletters, fliers and electronic correspondence.
• Assist clients with inquiries pertaining to prices, schedules, etc.• Answer phones and respond to group customer inquiries, handle group sales.
• Identification of new leads and new constituencies to pursue for group sales business.
• Develop group outreach events and programs.
• Coordinate all group sales contracts: take incoming orders and place outbound / telemarketing calls to current group buyers and potential new buyers: issuing group contracts to group leaders: forward all ticket requests to the box office.
• Monitor payment obligations (deposits and final) from group leaders regularly: issue ticket to groups upon receipt of final payment.
• Responsible for maintaining and updating group sales database on a regular basis.
• Attend select group sales events as assigned by the supervisor.
• Act as a liaison between group leaders and box office.
• Coordinate the design of direct mail pieces and distribution strategy, ad placement and the creation of any other marketing materials.


Qualifications:
Experience / Education:
• Bachelor's Degree is required.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in sales with proven closing abilities.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in managing a group sales campaign
 

Skills and Abilities:
• Proven experience of identifying leads and selling group sales packages for sport and non-sport events for an arena or other type of entertainment venue.
• Strong math aptitude and ability to attend to detail.• Proficient with Microsoft Office, with emphasis on Excel and Word.
• Demonstrated sound organizational, coordinating and personal interface skills.
• Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to successfully communicate with the public, other employees and vendors.
• Proven job reliability, diligence, and dedication.
• Ability to multi-task, cross-train and learn new skills quickly
